Tablerock’s ‘A Christmas Carol’

Harry Sweet will direct Tablerock's 19th annual performance of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol at the Goodnight Amphitheater on Royal Street in Salado. Dates for the production on the Tablerock stage is December 2, 3, 9 and 10. Dates for A Christmas Carol on the CAC stage in Temple are December 17th and 18th. Harry Sweet adapted Charles Dickens's famous Christmas story to the stage and has directed "Carol" for the past 14 years. Harry has served on the Temple Civic Theater Board and has played many roles on the Temple stage. Mr. Sweet is Tablerock's Past President.

Shannon Ashe is the Stage Manager for 2011 and will once again portray Mrs. Cratchit. She was elected to the Tablerock Board of Directors in 2007. Shannon is a Theater Arts Major and has acted and directed in Waco Civic Theater and Temple Civic Theater productions. She is married to Rick Ashe who was the Mayor of Salado for six years and is the mother of Addie Ashe who plays The Ghost of Christmas Past in A Christmas Carol. Rick Ashe will be in charge of Sound.

Paxton Howard will once again grace the Tablerock stage with his wonderful portrayal of Ebenezer Scrooge. Dr. Howard is retired from Scott and White and has been in many Temple Civic Theater productions.

The 60 cast and crew members of the 2011 presentation of A Christmas Carol include many first time actors and some actors who have been in the production for 18 years.

Performance will begin at 7 p.m. each evening at Tablerock's Goodnight Amphitheater. Tickets are available at the gate: $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for students and $3.00 for children 12 and under.
