BISD middle school students place in All Region Band, to perform in concert

Belton ISD seventh and eighth grade band students participated in the TMEA Region 8 band auditions that were held at Davila Middle School in Bryan this past Saturday.
Students were required to learn and partially memorize different sets of music.
They were then judged on their performance by a panel of six judges. Only the highest scoring students of the ten middle schools that participated were selected as a member of either the Concert or Symphonic Region Band.
A total of 63 students were selected and will represent BISD at the Region 8 concert.
The TMEA Region 8 Symphonic and Concert Bands will be participating in an all-day clinic and then in concert on Nov. 19 at the BHS Performing Arts Center at 5:00 p.m.
The concert is free and open to the public.
BMS students named to the All-Region Symphonic Band are: flute-Madison Pratt; clarinet-Hannah Jimenez, Lauren Phillips and Si Jin Woo; bass clarinet-Kyle Winters and French horn-Leo Di Luzio.
BMS students named to the All-Region Concert Band are: flute-Kaitlyn Curry and Si Hyung Woo; alto saxophone-Jonathan Froese; trumpet-Andy McMahon and Jeremiah Palladino; french horn-Sarah Jones; trombone-Willem Northcutt; percussion-Abigail Kendall.
LBMS Students named to the All-Region Symphonic Band are: clarinet-Kayla Delgado and Amber Vekasy; bass clarinet-Victoria Garcia; bassoon-Paige Wilson; alto sax-Rachel Clemons; trumpet- Elise Manning, Brandon Warbrick, Destynie Moore and Lorenzo Terrazas; french horn- Emma Coffman; trombone- Jessica Brewer; tuba- Ian Gish and Jacob Dumas; percussion- Rush Leigh, Ryan Smith and Brandon Hanaway.
LBMS Students named to the All-Region Concert Band are: Flute-Allison Waits, clarinet-Savannah Bush, Haley Childress, Gabriel Rocero and Kayli Colpitts; alto sax-Adrian Navarro, tenor sax- Eric Hoffman; baritone sax- Elena Tanner; trumpet- Chris Breaux and Christian Garcia; french horn-Mark Morris, Chris Warbrick, Madeline Montelongo and Leah Jones; trombone-Kofi McDonald; euphonium- Thomas Moore and Joshua Einboden; tuba- Ashton Goodman, Samuel Coleman, Ajani Rogers and Mickayla Hewett; percussion- Hagan Jones.
SBMS students named to the All-Region Symphonic band are: Oboe-Kameron Kasberg; trumpet-Joshua Stegall; trombone-Brandon Cooper; euphonium-Cameron Brickell; tuba-Carlos Marquez.
SBMS students named to the All-Region Concert band are: Oboe-Athena Dupree, clarinet-Diana Arias; trumpet-Hannah Gober; French horn-Cassandra Burns; trombone- Carly Neese; percussion-Hannah Martin.
