BHS Theatre Department presents Mark Twain comedy

BHS-Theatre-Department1Belton High School Theatre Department presented the comedy Is He Dead? by Mark Twain Nov. 4-6 at the BHS Performing Arts Center.

Twain wrote the comedy in 1898, but it was never produced in his lifetime.

Is He Dead? was discovered in Twain's papers and adapted by playwright David Ives in 2003, and enjoyed a very successful run on Broadway in 2007 at the Lyceum Theatre.

Major characters were played by sophomore Garrett Clark, senior Christian Taylor, junior Katie Lee, juniors Nick Smith and Casey Copeland and freshman Kevin Hauger.

Rounding out the rest of the cast were seniors Hunter Allison, Chaz Corder, Katie Poppe, and Easton Robles, junior Elijah Garza, sophomore Mary Hinze and freshmen Alex Barnett and Haley Entrop. Is He Dead? was directed by Belton High School theatre director, Casey Jones.
