Belton's newest business, Affordable Christian Counseling, officially opened its doors today to the public after a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Belton Chamber of Commerce. Owner Laura Black is an RN, MS, and LPC who is a graduate of the University of Mary Hardin Baylor with a graduate degree in counseling and psychology from Tarleton State University. Black spoke briefly to those attending the event.
"I am a licensed counselor in the state of Texas. I specialize in Christian counseling. I provide services to ages thirteen and up," said Black.
Black also spoke about her immediate and future business growth here in Belton, adding that she looks forward to continuing to provide services to adolescents, those in the military, families, and the elderly.
"I do work with seniors. Eventually I hope to have another specialist here who works specifically with the younger children," said Black.
According to Laura Black, Affordable Christian Counseling has already been seeing clients for about five weeks. Appointments at this time are arranged through scheduling with ACC. Further information is available at www.affordablechristiancounseling.org.
