Annie Rose "Peck" Ratliff Bulmer 85, died Tuesday December 6, 2011 at her Oakland, Maine home.
She was born in Belton, Texas on September 5, 1926 to Jack and LaVern Cosper Ratliff. Annie grew up and graduated from High School in Texas, marrying Bernard Bulmer in Belton on October 27, 1943.
Annie was a resident of Oakland most of her married life. She was a member and Worthy Matron of the Oakland Chapter #194, Order of the Eastern Star. Annie enjoyed living on Messalonskee Lake and spending time with her family. Rides throughout the state were favorites, especially those along the Maine coast. She loved flowers, gardening and blueberry picking.
Surviving are her husband of 68 years, Bernard Bulmer of Oakland, a daughter Virginia Labbe and husband Michael of Smithfield, a brother Danny Ratliff of Sidney, 2 sisters Janie Johnson of Gatesville, Tx., and Nona Kelley of Belton, Tx., 2 sisters in law, 2 grandsons, 4 great grandchildren, a great- great grandson, and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held December 10 at Wheeler Funeral Home in Oakland, Maine. Burial will be in the Gould Cemetery in Smithfield, Maine in the spring.
