Jack Rhoads, 90, of Belton died Dec. 23 at his home. Services were at 10 a.m. Dec. 27 at Miller Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Johnson and the Rev. Michael Meadows officiating.
Burial was in Resthaven Cemetery on I35 south of Belton.
Mr. Rhoads was born July 3, 1921 at Eagle Springs to Andrew J. and Monnie (Phelan) Rhoads. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and married Betty Jean Kuykendall Oct. 13, 1950 in Austin. He worked for 26 years as a master electrician at Fort Hood, retiring in 1982. He was a member of Miller Heights Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and four sisters. He is survived by his wife, Betty Rhoads of Belton; three sons, Billy Jack Rhoads of Temple, Jay Rhoads of Pfugerville and Jeff Rhoads of Belton; three daughters, Barbara Rhoads of Belton, Denise Mayfield of Buda and Vickie Wade of Austin; two brothers, R.V. Rhoads of Andice and James Rhoads of Belton; two sisters, Della Henie of Marble Falls and Jeannette Rhoads Billeck of Belton; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Vista Care Hospice or to Miller Heights Baptist Church. Dossman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
