DBMA planning for January Market Days

Downtown Belton Merchants Association will hold its fourth annual meeting, with installation of officers for 2012-13 on Jan. 26.

The 6 p.m. meeting will be at the newly installed soda fountain at Britt Drug Co.

Sandy Bigham, outgoing president, urged all DBMA members to attend.

Erma Elser, owner of Trends and Treasures is the new president. Michele Moore, co-owner of Moore, Garrett & Co., is vice president; Wendy Collier of Vintage Daze; Treasurer Ami Kachner of Britt Drug.

Sandy Bigham is the vendor's chair and Bennie Collins is the marketing chairman.

This is the second set of officers elected by the DBMA, and under organization by-laws, officers may serve only two consecutive terms.

At the regular board of directors meeting on Jan. 5, plans for the Jan. 21 regular Saturday Market Days were initiated.
