DBMA Market Days Jan. 21
Monday, 06 February 2012 by Berneta Peeples
Downtown Belton Merchants Association is looking forward to the Third Saturday of the Month Market Days on Jan. 21. Weather forecasts are calling for sunny, pleasant (for mid-winter) weather.
Early vendor registration indicates a wide variety of items for sale along Central Avenue. The December Market Days brought in 80 vendors.
DBMA is looking for a big day.
January 2011 was a disaster day. Temperature in the lowest category, mist and rain. Like all good and responsible directors, DBMA broke its own bylaws and cancelled the whole show. Bylaws clearly state that the show will go on regardless. Well, it didn't.
Vendors come from all over Central Texas, as well as from Dallas to San Marcos, and out to Brady.
Registration fee is $25 for a booth the size of a car parking space on Central.
For information/registration, call Erma Elser at 721-0296, see DBMA website, or just show up and space will be found somewhere in the Downtown Belton National Register Historic Business District.
DBMA and Market Days are sponsored by the City of Belton.
