ASCO Equipment preparing for grand opening

Bulldozers, compactors and other large machines line the parking lot of the new ASCO Equipment location in Belton, but under the surface is a company with unique values and practices.

ASCO, Associated Supply Company, Inc. is opening a new location on the Northwest Corner of IH-35 and Central Avenue. A grand opening ribbon cutting with take place at 4:30 p.m. today and you can RSVP by calling the new location at (254) 718-9615.

ASCO is a construction equipment dealership and rental company.

They are also more than that because of their many charitable donations and their core values to: honor God, develop people, pursue excellence and grow profitably.

"We are involved with the Make-A-Wish foundation and lots of other philanthropy," Branch Manager Spencer Ridgway said.

ASCO and its founder Bill Wright has also established an endowment at Texas Tech University's Health Sciences Center to find a way to stop Alzheimer's disease.

The company was also able to donate $62,000 toward tsunami relief.

"We also fundraised enough money to buy a new machine to donate to help women with breast cancer," Ridgway said.

Internally the company has a scholarship program for all employees' children that want to go to an accredited college or university.

"Every year we pick a charity to (fundraise) for," Ridgway said, "We honor God and are a blessing to others."

The grand opening of the new ASCO location will be a very unique chance to find all about this new company "see the building and look around," Ridgway said.

There will be a number events attached to the grand opening including involvement from some of the local schools, a live band and a dinner.

All the Case Construction Equipment will also be there for you to look at while you enjoy the event.

"We are honored to be in Belton and the Bell country area," Ridgway said, "We are excited to be a blessing to this community. We look forward to a long and growing relationship."
