Sweet Essentials officially opened its doors to the public two months ago and has been providing an assortment of delicious freshly baked goods ever since.Opening her own bakery was a dream of Terry Fowler's for a very long time.
"I have always enjoyed baking," Fowler said. "My stepfather offered me the opportunity to own a bakery many years ago but I declined his offer because I wasn't ready at the time. But I knew that one day, when I was ready, I would want to own a bakery."
The lifelong dream was realized when Sweet Essentials opened its doors on May 21.
Fowler has been baking ever since she was a child and she has turned her passion into a remarkable service for the community.
Sweet Essentials provides meat and fruit kolaches, cinnamon rolls, scones, muffins, cupcakes, cookies pies and other baked goods.
Fowler attained a baking and patisserie certificate at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts. Her knowledge of culinary arts, her experience and passion for baking has contributed to the success of her business.
She resides in Morgan's Point Resort and she is excited about providing a service on the outskirts of Belton.
"I like the small, rural town atmosphere here," Fowler said. "I have developed a good relationship with people here and I enjoy working in this area."
Sweet Essentials extends an invitation to the community to come and enjoy the fresh products that are made with quality ingredients.
The excellent customer service is another reason to stop by Sweet Essentials.
"I enjoy watching people's expressions when they take a bite of our delicious cupcakes or muffins," Fowler said. "It assures us that we are doing a fantastic job."
The shop is located at 11720 W. Adams Ave. and is open between 7 a.m - 6 p.m weekdays, and 8 a.m - 5 p.m. on Saturday.
