Belton ISD announces two new elementary principals

Belton ISD announced last week the appointment of Courtney Brewer and Holly Griffith as the district’s newest elementary principals.
Both leaders bring a deep understanding of Belton ISD’s culture, a proven commitment to student success and a passion for cultivating positive school environments.
Courtney Brewer will continue serving as principal at High Point Elementary, a role she has held on an interim basis since February 2025. Brewer’s leadership is grounded in strong instructional practices, relationship-building and a clear vision for student achievement.
With previous experience as an assistant principal at multiple Belton ISD campuses—including High Point Elementary, North Belton Middle School and Belton Early Childhood School—she is known for her data-driven decisionmaking, coaching excellence and ability to build strong campus communities. Brewer began her teaching career in Killeen ISD before joining Belton ISD as a teacher and later earning multiple campus recognitions, including Teacher of the Year. She holds a Bachelor of Science in EC-6 Generalist with ESL Certification from Texas A&M University– Central Texas and earned her Principal Certification in Educational Leadership from Grand Canyon University in 2020.
Holly Griffith has been named the new principal of Lakewood Elementary, bringing over a decade of experience in education, including the past four years serving as the campus’s assistant principal.
Throughout her time in Belton ISD, Griffith has led impactful initiatives in professional learning, datainformed instruction, and collaborative planning. A graduate of Lumar University with a master's degree in educational administration. Griffith has also completed the Aspiring Principals Academy through the district. Her leadership is centered around fostering a supportive school culture, strategic planning and a relentless focus on academic growth for all students.

"Both Courtney and Holly are committed educators who understand the heart of Belton ISD. Their leadership will inspire staff, engage families, and, most importantly, create thriving learning environments for students."
