Crow and Cactus, an exclusive southwestern gift shop, has moved to 122A Penelope Street to be closer to the heart of the downtown area.
I am very excited. This is our second year in business. I wouldn’t want my story to be anywhere else but in Belton. Our community is such a great community. Belton is home for me and my family,” said owner Amy Morter. Crow and Cactus, an exclusive southwestern gift shop, has moved to 122A Penelope Street to be closer to the heart of the downtown area.
The store is in the middle of the 8,200 square foot building with Grappler’s Lair in the north part of the building.
Morter added an exclusive furniture line, Rustic Expressions Texas, using reclaimed wood. The line of furniture is handmade.
The store also carries artwork, pottery, wine glasses, leather works, and multiple unique items to fit any budget.
Shine Branch LLC is the owner of the property and received a matching grant to improve the front of the building.
“It was exciting to purchase the property from Bell County. Exterior lighting and painting were involved. We added all the new windows and created a few new windows. We have had no problem renting the building. People want to be part of downtown Belton. Amy created a rendering of what the building should look like, said Brandon Bozon, Shine Branch Chief Business Officer.
