A Scholarship Awards Luncheon was hosted by Central Texas Republican Women on behalf of the CTRW Scholarship Endowment Foundation on Monday, April 21st at The Harris Community Center, Belton Texas. Two scholarships were awarded in the amount of $1000.00 each.

This year’s recipient of The Kitty Pope Scholarship is Millye Edwards. Millye is the daughter of Tanya and Marcus Edwards. She resides in Salado and will be graduating from Salado Highschool this year. Mylee will be attending Texas A&M University this fall. Her field of study will be Agricultural Economics.

The second recipient of The Sonny Pope Scholarship is Joshua Veiga. Joshua is the son of Sooky and William Veiga. He resides in Harker Heights and will be graduating from Harker Heights Highschool this year. Joshua will be attending University of Texas at Austin this fall. His field of study will be International Relations and Global Studies.
