Linda Pishner
April 18, 1943 – August 29 2025
Linda Pishner, a devoted wife, loving mother, adored grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away on August 29, 2025, in Temple, Texas. Born on April 18, 1943, Linda dedicated over 26 years of her life to proudly serving at the VA Hospital in Temple, where she made a significant impact in the fields of dietetics and food service.
Linda was known for her warm and caring personality, always extending her love and support to her family. She found great joy in playing cards, particularly 500 Rummy, often drawing her family into friendly competition. Many fond memories were shared as laughter filled the air while they played. Her playful spirit resonated especially with her grandchildren, to whom she delighted in giving gummy bears, a sweet gesture that will surely be remembered with affection.
In her free time, Linda nurtured various hobbies. She enjoyed collecting crystal and china and often indulged in dining out, where she could share good meals and create lasting memories with loved ones. She loved animals and would feed the 30 plus deer that showed up for dinner from her porch nightly. Her heart was also filled with love for her dogs, especially her faithful companion, Andy, who brought her endless joy.
Linda’s proudest accomplishment was undoubtedly her family. She is survived by her sons, Joseph Nicolas Pishner Jr. of Temple, and Michael John Pishner of Fort Worth; her sister, Anna Marie Cantaberry of Fayetteville, WV; her three granddaughters, Rebecca Turney of Temple, Christina Miller of Temple, and Mary Minick of Belton; her great-grandchildren, Shon Miller, Miriah Miller, Addison Turney, Emma Turney, and one on the way. Each of them will carry forward her legacy of love and compassion.
Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Pishner Sr., her parents, John and Dora Ramella, her brother, John L. Ramella Jr., and her sister, Nidia Harrison. The tender memory of Linda will forever live in the hearts of those who knew her, leaving an indelible mark on their lives.
Friends and family are invited to gather to celebrate Linda’s life. Visitation will be held on September 9, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., followed by a Rosary service at 7 p.m. at Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Belton, Texas. A Funeral Service will take place at St. Luke Catholic Church in Temple, Texas, on September 10, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. Linda will be laid to rest at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen on the same day at 1 p.m.
