Alice Joan Sandlin

May 28, 1935 - February 7, 2026

Alice Joan Sandlin passed peacefully into her next life February 7, 2026, in her home at the age of 90. Her beloved husband of 71 years and cat “Baby” were by her side throughout her last days.

She is preceded in death by her son Jimmy, her parents John Henry Shine and Cora Ann Parker, and brother Butch Shine. She is survived by her husband Barton Sandlin; son Johnny Sandlin and wife Candy; daughter Sally Borucki and husband Mike; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and brothers Tom and George Shine. She was also blessed by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

A service celebrating her life will be at Cole Funeral Home in McGregor on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity to honor her generous spirit.
