Belton and Lake Belton return to action in track & field Saturday, when Tiger Field will play host to the annual Big Red Relays.

Events are scheduled to begin at 8 a.m.

Both schools were scheduled to compete at Copperas Cove last weekend, but the frigid temperatures caused the meet to be canceled.

With 36 points, Lake Belton beat out Copperas Cove (2nd, 26), Belton (3rd, 21) and Little River Academy (4th, 18).

Leonel Castillo won the 132-pound weight class by combining a 360-pound squat, 200 bench press and 355 deadlift for a 915 total, while teammates Will Daugherty (181, 450-320- 485–1,255), Freddie Westbrook (242, 525-340-540-1,405) and Jacob Johnson (308, 515-290-535– 1,340) also earned gold medals.

The girls regional meet is Saturday at Del Valle.
