Helen C. Yearwood

Funeral services for Helen C. Yearwood, 89, of Belton, will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, May 22, 2025, at the Dossman Funeral Home chapel with Keith Evans officiating. Burial will follow at 1:00 PM at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.

The family received friends for visitation from 5-7 PM Wednesday evening at the funeral home.

Mrs. Yearwood died Sunday, May 18, 2025 in a Belton assisted living home.

Mrs. Yearwood was born June 25, 1935, in Union Point, Georgia, the daughter of Leon and Louise (Mauldin) Bryan. She married Bill Yearwood, October 1, 1952, in Union Point. She was a homemaker but also worked for 12 years with Bell County Abstract. She was a devoted member of Keys Valley Baptist Church.

Mrs. Yearwood was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years in 2022, also one grandson, Bryan Yearwood and great grandson, Tyler Yearwood.

Survivors include son Steve Yearwood; daughter Kathy Latimer and her husband Larry; three grandsons, Scott Yearwood, Jason Yearwood and wife Laurel, and Joshua Yearwood and wife Debi; and six great-grandchildren, Tannor, Carson, Melissa, Hayden, Hunter and Holton.
