The Lake Belton Broncos volleyball squad continued to work their way toward the end of their non-district this week, as they played home matches against the Rudder Rangers and Smithville Tigers.

Lake opened game two with a 4-0 lead and weathered a short 4-2 Smithville run to answer with nine straight points at the end and a total of a 18-5 run to give the Broncos a 15-point win in game two.
Jones, Kukulski, Wood, and Keileigh Krueger all registered kills in the set.

“It was another opportunity for the team to get stronger and supported each other well,” Lake Belton head coach Allison Waits said. “I am really happy that we were able to keep the level of play throughout the game. While we were practicing yesterday (Monday), for the specific areas that we were workings on, I told them to use tonight as an opportunity to work on those things.”
Lake recorded multiple runs throughout the match. In game one, the Broncos had runs of 5-1 and 15- 5. In game two, Lake logged runs of 4-0, 8-3, and 9-1.
In game three, Lake registered stretches of 7-2, and 14-4. “In a game like this, it gives the team opportunities,” Waits said. “We are always thinking about the future for outsides and liberos.”
