Candy’s Beauty Lounge Salon & Suites is a newly established booth and suite rental salon located at 111 N. East St. in downtown Belton, founded by local stylist Candy Abreu.
“I opened my own salon to give other independent stylists and beauty professionals a home for their own brand and business,” said Abreu. “First and foremost, I want to thank God for guiding me through this journey. Here’s to this new chapter, and to all the beauty, creativity, and joy to come at my salon!”

Candy Abreu and her supporters celebrate her new business, Candy’s Beauty Lounge Salon & Suites.
Clients come in for a transformation by having their hair custom-colored, blonded, and even vividly colored like pink, blue, purple, rainbow, and personalized styling in a warm, welcoming environment.
“I’ve been in the industry since 2013. I did my schooling and then I studied business-management,” said Abreu. She attended Central Texas Beauty College. She’s originally from Hillsboro and lived in Temple for 20 years and in Belton for over 10 years.
“I created Candy’s Beauty Lounge Salon & Suites to focus on community and creativity, and my mission is to empower both clients and professionals to look and feel their best,” said Abreu.
Abreu brings more than ten years of management experience from corporate, franchise, and small business, from general manager to inventory, retail, and training and hiring manager. Abreu gets to combine that experience with her passion for building a supportive space for beauty professionals to grow and thrive. Abreu was a booth renter at the Haute Suite until she moved to her new downtown location.
“To accommodate my growing business needs, and because I am passionate about helping stylists and other beauty professionals grow, we’ve decided to relocate downtown,” said Abreu.
At the ribbon-cutting, Ruby Tea Room provided tea and scones and Arusha’s provided tacos. Laura G-Ford with Soulscapes Photography and Makeup Studios took photos.
The Belton downtown business community got together with door prizes for the ribbon cutting ceremony.
“We are excited to welcome Candy to downtown Belton and encourage everyone to stop by to check out what she has to offer,” said CEO/President of the Belton Chamber of Commerce Randy Pittenger.
Abreu thanked her husband for late nights getting the salon ready, her kids and family for believing in her and giving her purpose every single day, and for their love and encouragement. She thanked Ruby Tea Room and Arushas, the downtown business community, and the Belton Chamber of Commerce for guidance and support.
