Fundraiser benefit set for Belton native
January 29, 2026

Tiffany Knight was born in Belton and now lives in Moody. Her friends and family are inviting the community to join in her fight against stage three breast cancer by participating in a BBQ plate lunch, live auction, live music, gun raffle, and car show benefit on Feb. 7, located at Seaton Star Hall, 10842 TX-53 in Temple.
The doors to the benefit open at 11 a.m. A BBQ lunch will be at noon with a cost of $15 per plate. There will be a live auction at 1:30 p.m. Live music will be after the auction. There is a gun raffle with tickets costing $20 each.
“Tiffany finished her chemo the day before Thanksgiving. On Jan. 6, she had a double mastectomy. She’s doing well. She is in good spirits, but she struggles because she cannot hold her baby, who is now nine months old. His name is Kobe,” said her mother, Charlotte Meyer.
“After this, she will be doing radiation. We don’t know the date yet, she will have reconstruction surgery, and then a hysterectomy with ovaries and uterus. She’s a young mother of two, a wife, and my beautiful daughter. She has a great support system with her husband’s family and her family,” said Meyer.
According to her mother, Knight has wonderful doctors who have an ongoing treatment plan that consists of chemotherapy and surgery. She cannot fight alone, and her friends and family are requesting prayers and support from the community.
“But everyone needs to remember, when you are battling cancer, most of the time you may have a great support system, but you have to have this battle alone,” said Meyer. “She is positive for the BRCA gene. I’m positive for that very same thing.”
Having a BRCA gene mutation means a person has a significantly increased risk for types of cancers like breast, ovarian, prostate, and pancreatic cancer. Everyone has these genes, but a mutation impairs their tumor-suppressing function, raising lifetime cancer risk substantially, requiring increased screening, and potentially leading to preventative options like surgery or medication, and can be passed to children.
There will be a car show at the benefit. There is a registration form that needs to be filled out by people interested in participating. Just show up with your car or truck and bring the form to be put in the proper class. All proceeds from the car show will go to the benefit.
T-shirts are being sold by Knight’s aunt Chantel Britton. There is a choice of three designs, and they cost $28 each. Look up Tiffany Knight Breast Cancer Benefit on Facebook and reach out to Knight or Britton to place your order.
