Nancy Jane Moore Knight


March 8, 1949 – September 27, 2025

Nancy Jane Moore Knight, age 76, of Temple passed from this life with her loving family by her side on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at her home. Nancy was born on the 8th day of March 1949 in San Antonio, Texas, to parents Robert Lee Moore and Lucille Irene (Landrum) Moore.
Nancy has been a resident of Temple for the past 32 years. After high school in San Antonio, she obtained her bachelor’s in education from the University of Texas at Victoria, Texas. She would spend the next 22 years as a first grade teacher, serving as a teacher and administrator.
She retired on December 21, 1996. Nancy married the love of her life, Darrell Knight in San Antonio. The two shared 54 years together.
She will be remembered for her loving spirit that always put others first.
She was a faithful member of Northside Church of Christ, Waco.
She cherished her family, many friends and pets.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved brother Thomas Moore.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her loving husband of 54 years Darrell Knight of Temple; sons Darron Knight of Temple and Michael Knight of San Marcos; and five grandchildren.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all those who shared their kind wishes, comfort, and support during Nancy’s passing.
