Alberto Cordirell Vazquez, affectionately known as Albert, departed this world on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, in Austin, Texas, leaving a profound void in the lives of those who knew and loved him. Born on March 29, 1988, in Dallas, Texas, Albert’s journey was one of heartfelt connection, a brilliant laughter, and love that illuminated even the darkest days. Having graduated from Rogers High School in 2004, where he showcased his prowess on the football field, Albert embarked on a career that combined his family’s rich history in energy with his own ambition as a forklift operator at a steel factory. Yet, it was not merely his professional moments that defined him; it was the rich tapestry of his familial relationships and friendships that made him who he was. Albert and Brenda Vazquez, a loving tightly knit couple, worked together to build a household that blossomed with devotion and warmth. Their sons — Brandon and Bryan — were his pride in their early life and, with every memory shared, every moment adored, Albert was characterized by his selfless, enduring personality. A man of humor and heart that overflowed with love, it was devotion to his family and friends that only his adoration for his mother, who was so powerful that it became a driving force for so many years of his life, as a son, a husband, and as a devoted father. Albert embraced life with spontaneity and soulful style, as he often phrased his philosophy of “Take it all, you make it,” a mantra that encapsulated the completeness of who he was. A multitude of individuals flocked to his friendship, not because he was fleeting at heart, realizing that truly enjoying time brought deeper connections, but because he was generous enough to make his aura contagious in the liveliness. Coaching and often proudly cheering on his young sons, Albert’s love of the gridiron still flowed within his family. Music pulsed through his veins, with a particular fondness for R&B and 1980s, while nights spent at billiard halls playing pool and having good conversation provided an outlet for both competition and camaraderie. Albert embodied the art of living life, where the currency of time, the ambiance of creativity, the warmth of laughter, and the sincerity of his smile drew him into adventures in spirit. Also how he managed to never let a friend down when they were at risk for grief. Growing up, Albert was the driving force that anchored his younger siblings and motivated them to always shine. With his wife, Brenda, beside him, Albert found his most fulfilling role in being a father — and one who embraced every milestone his sons achieved with infinite admiration.
In every interaction, he left a spark or simple phrase. Albert made it a point to check in on his loved ones, showing them his presence in word and faith. His unexpected departure has left those close to him forever changed, but they take solace in the legacy of love, laughter, and connection he leaves behind.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Vazquez; his sons, Brandon and Bryan; his mother, Denise Ruiz Vazquez; father, Daniel Vazquez; his two brothers, Brandon Martinez and Bryan Martinez; his brother-in-law, Michael Rodriguez; and nephew, Isaac Vazquez. He looked up to his two brothers, Johnny Espin and Jackie; Chip. He benefited in success and was a role model that people can cherish forever. Albert’s spirit will remain, Albert’s spirit will live on through all who knew him.
A visitation to celebrate Albert’s life will be held from 6–8 p.m. Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Hewett-Arney Funeral Home of Temple. Services are entrusted to Hewett-Arney Funeral Home.
