Audrey “Elaine” Manning Guidry

September 24, 1957 – October 12, 2025


Audrey “Elaine” Manning Guidry, age 68, of Belton, passed away on October 12, 2025. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 24, at Pearl Community Center.


Elaine Guidry was born on September 24, 1957, in Gatesville, to the late Glen and Alpha Manning. Elaine grew up and attended school in Killeen and graduated from Killeen High School in 1976.


Elaine was also in the Manning Family Singers. Growing up, Elaine was a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Killeen and then in 1982 became a member of Phoebe Baptist Church.


Elaine attended Killeen Beauty College and became a licensed cosmetologist. She also attended Central Texas College and then Stephen F. Austin State University where she studied special education. Elaine worked as a beautician and then in early childhood education at Grace Acres in Dallas and later in Killeen I.S.D. Elaine also worked in retail and was an excellent waitress. She provided long-term care for several senior citizens and was a business owner in Gatesville.


Elaine was a loving mother and grandmother who deeply loved her family, including extended family and friends. She maintained a close relationship with over the years. She enjoyed listening to Southern gospel and bluegrass music and particularly enjoyed playing the outdoors, especially the beach. Elaine was a social cook. She was entertaining, adventurous, and was a loyal and supportive friend to everyone.



Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Artha Manning and her ex-husband Dale Gude.

She is survived by her daughter, Antha Lou Gude; son, former James Dale Gude and wife, Sierra; daughter, Marie Nicole Gude; grandchildren, Reagan and Audrey Ward, Lilah Gude; Riley Gude, Skylee Loose, Rickey, Grifyn, and Leland Reddick; her siblings, Glenn Manning and husband James, Sonia Sims, Debbie Manning, Mark Manning; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
